What a crazy month it has been.

On March 3rd we had to say a hard goodbye to Honduras and all of its wonderful people.

In that though, we got to say a joyful hello to the rest of our Squad as we traveled together to El Salvador for a time of debrief and training.

There are two main things I want to point out about our time there and this video.

1. There is so much freedom in Christ. We carry around so much weight; guilt, shame, fear, unforgiveness, etc. and eventually we get used to carrying it and we don’t realize how much it is weighing us down.  That is until it is gone! As I stepped into more freedom in El Salvador I literally felt a weight lifted off of my shoulders. I started carrying myself differently because I wasn’t weighed down anymore.

2. God is on the move. Yeah yeah yeah, we all know this. We sing it in songs all of the time about how He is “on the move on the move hallelujah” and how “He never stops never stops working.” But seriously, He is.  These aren’t things that just make catchy lyrics.  God is on the move and my squad and I got to witness a small portion of that while we were in El Salvador.  This started off as a divine appointment that saved several friends lives.  But it turned into our squad getting in the back of a strangers truck and driving two hours to a revival service that went from 8 pm – 2:30 am. God is moving and He is inviting us to be a part of it.

3. Okay so I know above I said two things, but this is an important one. I know there is a lot of disagreement out there about baptism; getting baptized as a baby vs an adult, getting a few sprinkles on the head vs getting fully submerged, etc.  This has been something I have been wrestling with for a while as well. It is important.  Recently though, it was brought to my attention that all of the disagreements stem from a root of religious practices.  Stepping out of that religion mindset, I have come to learn that baptism is saying that you want more of God. You are laying down more of your worldly ways, surrendering it to Him, and picking up more of what He has for you. I would love to talk to you more about this if you have questions about baptism in general or my decision!

It would be so incredible if you would go to my YouTube Channel Here, like this video, and subscribe to receive updates!

Also as promised in the video, here is a link to Jamie’s full story about their divine appointment: Divine Encounter

Prayer Requests:

  • My team, Flocka Sheep, as we are entering to last two weeks together
  • The spiritual heaviness of Nicaragua
  • That God would continue to reveal Himself to our whole squad in new and radical ways
